I loved it! Carol has definitely succeeded in keeping her fans enthralled! The creep factor and suspense run high throughout the pages This killer displays a whole other level of creepy crazy Gripping and engrossing, this series is quickly becoming another firm favourite for me and I'm already eagerly awaiting the next one. It was a real page turner that I couldn't put down I love DI Robyn Carter and really feel for her Women are going missing in rural Iowa, and a pattern is emerging.

Complément d'enquête. Le crime était presque parfait - 21 février 2019 (France 2)

It is feared a serial killer is on a rampage, his pace increasing. Given her Midwestern roots, Mackenzie is chosen as the perfect fit. But Mackenzie is reluctant to return to the Midwest, this time to a starkly rural setting that reminds her too much of her upbringing, of her own ghosts in her closet. In the deadly game of cat-and-mouse, she finally realizes the psychosis of the killer she is up against, and comes to realize that the land of her upbringing is holding even darker and more twisted horrors than she could imagine.

When Special Agent Riley Paige finally decides to take a well-needed rest from the FBI, a request for help comes from the most unlikely source: her own daughter. Worse, she is convinced that the suicide was staged, and that her sister was murdered at the hands of a serial killer.

La Chronique Anonyme Universelle

Riley reluctantly looks into the case, only to discover that two other freshman girls at Georgetown recently killed themselves in the same grotesque way—by hanging. As she realizes foul play may be afoot, she brings in the FBI. In time she discovers that this case is far more twisted than it seems—and that she just may be up against the most psychotic killer of her career. Women are turning up dead while camping in a remote national park in West Virginia.

Yet the park is vast, and no connection can be found between them. At the same time, Mackenzie receives a call from Nebraska urging her to come home. The case no longer cold, Mackenzie desperately needs to help solve it. This killer is more diabolical—and smarter—than Mackenzie could have imagined. As she goes down a road she fears to travel—deep into her own psyche—she finds a double twist waiting for her that even she could not expect.

There's not much that scares Annie Graham. Not even the horrors she has witnessed during her years on the police force. When she agrees to look after her brother's farmhouse, she finds herself drawn to the crumbling old mansion in the woods nearby. But an innocent exploration of the empty ruin and the discovery of the diary of former resident Alice leaves her more than a little spooked.

NOUVEAUTÉS 12222

She knows it holds the secrets to a dark past, and she has to find out more. What was the terrible truth that Alice uncovered? And how could what happened to her over years ago help solve the murders of young women in the town? Annie needs to stop the serial killer before she becomes his next victim — but the past comes back to haunt her in ways she could never have expected. I was amazed how the author got inside of the mind of the serial killer and really showed you his psychotic thought processes.

The Ghost House is a magnificent read and it's perfect for those who have a strong stomach and nerves of steel! A girl named Belinda Rose…. Just as Josie gets closer to uncovering a secret that will shatter her world forever, another body is uncovered. There's plenty of shocks, twists and turns to keep you hooked…. I can't praise it enough and it deserves a lot more than five stars. This is the book that wow was meant for. So many wonderful twists. Stayed up till 3am to finish it. If I could I would award this book six stars. One of my favourite reads of this year so far.
